[PIO] Forest fire in the community of Agios Epifanios in Orini under full control

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today at 10:50 a.m. a fire occurred due to a lightning strike in an area of the community of Agios Epifani of Orini.

Thanks to the immediate intervention of the forest firefighting forces, the fire was brought under full control at 11:05, before it spread.

Five Forestry Department employees with two fire trucks and four civilians worked to extinguish the fire.
