The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Thursday, 31 August 2023, at 18:55, a fire broke out in an area of the Anaritas Community of Paphos District.
The fire was brought under full control at 19:30, after it burned an area of two decares with low wild vegetation and apocalypses.
Two fire trucks of the Forestry Department with seven people operated to extinguish the fire. The operations of the Forestry Department were supported by the Fire Service, with one fire engine and three people.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
