The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Monday, 10/6/2024, at 15:15, a fire broke out near the community of Korakos.
The fire was brought under full control at 15:25, after burning an area of 100 square meters with low wild vegetation and some fruit trees.
19 people from the Forestry Department with five fire trucks operated to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
