[PIO] Forest fire in Anaritas Community under full control

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:40 a.m., a forest fire caused by a lightning strike occurred at the boundaries of the Community of Troulon in Larnaca District.

The fire was brought under full control at 12:15, after burning an area of a decade of reed fields.

Six Forestry Department personnel with two fire engines participated in the extinguishing operation. The operations of the Forestry Department were assisted by the Fire Service with three persons and one fire engine.
