The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, at 06:35, a fire broke out in an area of the community of Pano Arodes.
The fire was brought under full control at 08:10, after burning an area of one hectare covered with low wild vegetation and apocalypses.
16 people from the Forestry Department with three fire engines and one earth mover and seven people from the Fire Service with three fire engines operated to extinguish the fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
