The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that on Sunday 19 November 2023 at 17:40 a fire broke out in an area of the community of Pano Arodes, Paphos district.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate and the fire was brought under control at 18:05 before it spread. The fire was extinguished by three persons of the Forestry Department with one fire engine and three persons of the Fire Service with one fire engine.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
