The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Thursday, 11 July 2024 at 13:30, a fire broke out in an area of the Community of Koutrafa.
The fire was fully controlled at 14:10, burning an area of 1.5 hectares with low wild vegetation.
Seven Forestry Department personnel with two fire engines were involved in extinguishing the fire. The Forestry Department's operation was assisted by the Fire Service with two people and one fire engine.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
