[PIO] Forest fire in an area of the Community of Kouklia under full control

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Friday, June 28, 2024, at 14:25, a fire broke out in an area of the Community of Kouklia, near the state Forest of Mountains.

The timely intervention of the forest firefighters prevented the fire from spreading, resulting in the fire being brought under control at 14:35.

Two persons of the Forestry Department with one fire engine and two persons of the Thera Service with one fire engine participated in the extinguishing operation.

The causes of the fire are being investigated.
