The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Friday, May 27, 2022 at 17:25, a fire broke out in an area of the community of Kellia.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, resulting in the fire being brought under control at 18:00, burning an area of two decares with deforestation and low wild vegetation.
5 persons of the Forestry Department with 2 fire engines and 2 persons of the Fire Service with 1 fire engine participated in the extinguishing operation.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
