The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that yesterday, Sunday 28 July 2024, at 16:25, a fire broke out in an area of the community of Nikitariou.
The fire was brought under full control at 16:40, burning an area of two decares with almond trees and wild vegetation.
Six persons of the Forestry Department with two fire engines participated in extinguishing the fire. The Forestry Department's operation was assisted by the Fire Service with three people and one fire engine.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
