The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 13:20, a forest fire broke out in an area of the community of Nikitariou.
The fire was brought under full control at 13:50 after burning 1 decade of crops.
To extinguish the fire, 6 persons of the Forestry Department, with 2 fire engines operated.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
