The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Thursday, 31 August 2023 at 17:50, a fire broke out in an area of the Milia community of Paphos district.
The fire was brought under full control at 18:20 after burning an area of two decares with low wild vegetation.
Two fire trucks of the Forestry Department with 12 people operated to extinguish the fire. The operations of the Forestry Department were assisted by the Fire Department with two persons and a fire engine and the Community of Milia with two persons and a small fire engine.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
