[PIO] Foreign Minister paid a working visit to Lebanon

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos paid a one-day working visit to Lebanon today, Tuesday, 12 March 2024, at the invitation of his Lebanese counterpart Mr. Abdallah Bou Habib.

During his stay in Beirut, the Foreign Minister met with his counterpart Mr. Bou Habib, in the presence of delegations from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

The discussions focused on bilateral relations, where the close historical ties and the will to further deepen cooperation between the two countries were confirmed. The Ministers exchanged views on regional developments, as well as on migration. He also briefed his counterpart on the current developments in the Cyprus problem.

During his visit, Mr. Kobos was received by the acting Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Najib Mikati, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Nabih Berri. The Minister also had a meeting with the Chief of the Lebanese Forces General Joseph Aoun.
