[PIO] Fire in progress between the communities of Strubi - Kathika

The Fire Service informs the public that at 13:10 it was informed through a call that a fire broke out between the communities of Strubi - Katika. In the area dry grass, wild vegetation and vines are burning, covering an area of about eight hectares.

The Fire Service is operating with three fire engines and four Portable Firefighting Units from the Fire Stations of Paphos District. They are supporting the Forestry Department with one fire truck and two private canoes.

The Police helicopter was called and is responding.

Also, the two leased helicopters of the Republic of Cyprus will respond after refueling.

The Fire Service informs the public that η πυρκαγιά στην Επαρχία Λεμεσού έχει οριοθετηθεί.
