Further to today's decision of the Council of Ministers to grant financial assistance to those affected by extreme weather events and the tornado recorded in the Limassol District on 14 February 2024, the Ministry of Interior sets out the amounts that beneficiaries may receive, by category:

Without insurance coverage

Owner-occupied dwellings
[/TD] [/TD] [TD]80% of the assessed damage to the building, up to a maximum of €20.000
[/TD] [TD]Equal to the assessed damage to the building and not exceeding the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €3.000, whichever is less
[/TD] [/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD] [TD] [/TD] [/TD] [TD]Equal to the amount of the estimated damage to the equipment up to a maximum of €15.000
[/TD] [TD]Equal to the estimated loss of the equipment and not exceeding the excess waiver of the insurance, up to a maximum of €3.000, whichever is less
[/TD] [/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD]Rented houses
[/TD] [/TD] [TD]50% of the estimated damage to the building, up to a maximum of €15.000

[/TD] [TD]For private vehicles that are not insured against catastrophic events, which are registered and had a valid registration at the material time, third party insurance and MOT or were legally immobilised, financial assistance equal to 75% of the estimated loss will be provided, up to a maximum of €5.000 per vehicle
[/TD] [TD]For vehicles insured against catastrophic events, financial assistance will be provided equal to the assessment and no more than the excess waiver of the insurance, up to a maximum of €500, whichever is less
[/TD] [/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD]Commercial vehicles
[/TD] [TD]For private vehicles not insured against catastrophic events, which are registered and at the material time had a valid registration, third party insurance and MOT or were legally immobilised, financial assistance equal to 75% of the estimated loss will be provided, up to a maximum of €10 financial assistance.000 per vehicle
