The Council of Ministers today approved the proposal of the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Ms Marilena Evangelou, to continue the absorption by the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare of the pension increases granted by the Social Insurance Fund until 31/12/2024.
Therefore, the Low Pensioners' Allowance will continue to be unaffected by the increase in pensions granted by the Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Labour.
With today's Cabinet Decision, low pensioners, in addition to the increase received in their pension from the Social Insurance Fund, will continue to receive the Low Pensioner's Allowance without differentiation. That is, without being either reduced or cut off.
This decision, at a cost of EUR 4.7 million, is intended to further support low pensioners.
