The Commissioner of the CFCA gives a breather to farmers
The Commissioner of Rural Payments Mr. Andreas Kyprianou, following a request from all agricultural organisations regarding the census of the sheep and goat population, decided to extend the deadline for the census of the sheep and goat population in the framework of the implementation of the Voluntary Coupled Support for Sheep and Goats (VCSG) 2022 and possible other sheep and goat head subsidy measures that may be announced for the year 2022.
Decided that the last day of the census and notification of results to the Veterinary Services shall be Tuesday, 8 March 2022. Kyprianou points out that if on the census date, the animal population on the farm is 100 or more animals, according to the electronic database of the Veterinary Services, the census should be carried out with a scanner. The census using a scanner on holdings with a livestock population of 100 or more animals is an eligibility criterion.
For additional information and/or clarification on how to carry out the livestock census, interested parties may contact the local District Veterinary Offices or Veterinary Stations by telephone.
For further information, interested parties may contact Mrs Marina Petridou at 22 557778.
