Further to the announcement dated 12/1/2024 regarding the submission of a declaration of interest for registration in the Register of Intermediaries, the Assistant Financial Commissioner Ms. Valentina Georgiadou informs that the deadline for submitting a declaration of interest has been extended until 26/1/2024. It is noted, once again, that declarations of interest should be sent to the e-mail address mediations@financialombudsman.gov.cy.
It is reminded that those who are registered in the Register of Ombudsmen, which is kept at the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, are entitled to register in the Special Register of Ombudsmen of the Financial Ombudsman. It is understood that prospective ombudsmen must have received training from the Central Bank of Cyprus on credit facility restructuring.
Interest may also be expressed by those who are not registered in the Registry of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order but who are entitled to register, provided that their registration will take place by the date on which the relevant seminars will be determined by the Central Bank of Cyprus.
