On 11 January 2022, the First Task of the National Phase of the European Statistics Competition took place. Seventy-seven (77) teams from all over Cyprus took part, consisting of two hundred and twenty-five (225) high school students.
The co-organizers of the competition (Statistical Service, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, University of Cyprus and Cyprus Statistical Society) would like to express their thanks to all the teams for their participation and for their efforts.
The first task included three tests as follows. 3.1.1. The first ten teams with the highest scores in the high school category and the first ten in the middle school category qualify for the Second Task, which involves the preparation of a statistical report as a result of processing a set of data.
