On Tuesday 14 March 2023, a European Commission team accompanied by representatives of the General Directorate for Development of the Ministry of Finance and the European Social Fund Unit of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, visited the Family Intervention and Support Centre for Autism "AKTIDA". The project is implemented in the framework of the Cohesion Policy Programme "THALIA 2021-2027" co-financed by the European Social Fund + (ESF +), with an expenditure of €1 million per year.

The aim is for the child to acquire maximum social skills, to prepare him/her for integration into the school context and for the family to maintain its cohesion, unity and harmony. The services provided by the Centre, according to the Decision of the Council of Ministers on 6.5.2019 that approved its operation, are.

(c) Social support service.

The operation of the ACTIDA Centre, which started in October 2021, has been awarded after a public tender by the Department of Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities to a Contractor Consortium of three entities. The Consortium consists of European University-Clinic for Speech and Hearing, Codeca-Center for Social Cohesion Development and Care Ltd and Social Element-Centre for Social and Human Development Ltd. The Centre has the capacity to provide its services free of charge to approximately 300 children and their families nationwide. Information is available at www.aktidacy.org or by calling 22270620.
