[PIO] EU aid programme for the supply of fruit and vegetables, bananas and milk to schools

The Cyprus Agricultural Payments Agency (CAP) announces that payments to the EU Aid Programme for the provision of fruit and vegetables, bananas and milk to schools, totalling €748, have been completed.567,51 for the school year 2022-2023.

The Programme was 100% financed by Community funds, with the amount disbursed by the European Union (EU) amounting to €726.858,49. The Republic of Cyprus contributed an additional amount of €21,709.02 for a Value Added Tax (VAT) subsidy attributable to the expenditure of the Programme.

The main objectives of the "Programme for Schools" are.

(c) To increase children's knowledge of agricultural production and good eating habits.

(d) To achieve the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy, including increasing the income of the agricultural sector, stabilising agricultural markets and making available both existing and future supplies of agricultural products.
