[H]The total number of workers employed in the fourth quarter of 2021 is estimated at 451,767, of which 402.117 are employees and 49,650 are self-employed.[/H]
Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2020, total employment for Q4 2021 increased by 1.6%. The most significant percentage increases were observed in Accommodation and food service activities (NACE I), Education (NACE P), Construction (NACE F) and Information and communication services (NACE J).
Actual hours worked for Q4 2021 are estimated at 201,447 thousand, an increase of 4.9% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2020. The most significant percentage increases were observed in Arts, Entertainment and Recreation (NACE R), Accommodation and food service activities (NACE I), Transport and storage (NACE H), Wholesale and retail trade - Repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (NACE G), Information and communication services (NACE J) and Construction (NACE F).
