On 9 June 2024 we will be invited to elect the six representatives of the Republic of Cyprus to the next European Parliament. In this electoral process, all citizens of the Republic have the right to vote and to be elected on an equal footing.
Pursuant to subsection (1A) of Article 9 of the Law on the Election of Members of the European Parliament, 103.269 thousand Turkish Cypriots, who are over 18 years of age, have obtained the new type of identity card of the Republic and have a registered address in the population record system, in areas where the Government of the Republic does not exercise effective control, have been included in the special electoral list for the European elections.
You can check whether the conditions are met for your person and whether your name has been included in the special electoral list through the online service at https:/etv.elections.moi.gov.cy.
We look forward to your participation in this electoral process of selecting the representatives of the Republic of Cyprus in the European Parliament. It is also up to you that the representation of Cyprus in the new European Parliament should result from the joint election of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
Therefore, make sure to exercise your voting rights by coming to one of the special polling stations that will be open for this purpose, near the crossing points, in Kato Tower of Tillaria, in Flusou, in Astromeritis, in Agios Dometios, in Ledra Palace, in Ledra Street, in Xylotympou, in Acheritou and in Derynia.
