[PIO] Elections 2024 - Voting times

The Chief Electoral Officer announces that, in accordance with the current electoral legislation, voting on Sunday, June 9, 2024, will begin at 7 a.m. and will be interrupted at 12 p.m, for a one-hour break.

Voting will resume at 1 p.m. and will normally end at 6 p.m.

In addition, it is recalled that, by analogy, the voting times for polling stations abroad have been set as follows:

Note that the presiding officer at each polling station may extend voting hours until no later than midnight if there is a large number of voters outside the polling station waiting to vote and if the Chief Electoral Officer is notified.

The sorting and counting of votes will take place at the local polling stations immediately after the close of voting, with the exception of a small number of polling stations in occupied communities with a small number of voters, which will be transferred to a single sorting centre at the Ministry of Finance site.
