The process of collecting voter turnout figures for the elections has been completed.
According to the available data, the final turnout rate was 50.5% of all registered voters. That is, 353,149 citizens out of a total of 698,896 registered voters went to the polls to exercise their right to vote.
For comparison purposes, it is noted that during the 2019 European Parliament Members' Elections the final voter turnout rate was 45%, while the corresponding rate in the 2016 Local Government Authorities Elections was 60.6%.
If special polling stations for Turkish Cypriot voters are excluded, the turnout is 58.3%, compared to 50.7% in the 2019 European Parliament Members' Elections.
With regard to the participation of Turkish Cypriots, it is reported that 5,676 voters out of a total of 103,281 registered on the special electoral roll have exercised their right to vote.
In the 17 polling stations abroad, a total of 2,855 people out of a total of 4 voted.643 registrations submitted.
