The Chief Electoral Officer reminds that the electoral booklets of the new voters are available at the offices of the Community and Parish Councils for collection by the voters or their relatives.
The voter registration books will be received by the Community Chiefs until Thursday, June 6, 2024, and will then be returned to the offices of the respective Parish Chiefs, where they can be picked up by interested voters even on Election Day.
It is noted that voters who have lost their voter's booklet may apply to the relevant Prefect for a replacement, until Saturday 8 June 2024 at 1 pm.
Therefore, voters are invited to check in time whether they have their voter's booklet in their possession and in a safe place and, if they have lost it, to apply for a new one by submitting an application with a photograph and the amount of €8.54. Application forms can be obtained from the Electoral Service of the Ministry of Interior, Prefects' Offices, Citizen Service Centres, Citizen Centres (CCCs) at Cyprus Post Offices and the elections website at elections.gov.cy.
It is reminded that in order to be able to vote in the upcoming elections, one must be registered in the respective electoral roll and, in the case of Cypriot voters, present either their voter's booklet or their identity card at the polling station. Voters from other Member States of the European Union shall vote for the Elections of Local Authorities by presenting either a voter's booklet or the document on the basis of which they are registered on the relevant special electoral list and for the Elections of Members of the European Parliament by presenting the document on the basis of which they are registered on the relevant special electoral list.
