The Chief Electoral Officer announces that in accordance with the provisions of the current electoral legislation, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, and Sunday, June 9, 2024, i.e. on the eve and on the day before and on the day of the election, public gatherings, as well as the organization of speeches and public debates on any issues directly or indirectly related to the elections, are prohibited.
Violators are guilty of a criminal offence and, on conviction, are liable to imprisonment for up to one year or a fine of up to €5,000 or both penalties together.
