The Chief Electoral Officer announces that, in accordance with the provisions of the current electoral legislation, candidates may be present in person at the polling station during the conduct of the voting and/or the sorting and counting of votes or appoint a proxy by completing the appropriate forms ETAEK 16 and ETAEK 17, respectively.

To this end, combinations/individual candidates who wish to appoint a representative are invited to appoint a representative and forward in a timely manner to the Supervisor of Elections of the relevant Electoral District a specimen signature of the person or persons who will sign the above forms, which must be obtained in advance from the Office of the Supervisor of Elections. Otherwise, they will not be able to be represented at the polling station.

It is clarified that, in view of the large number of elections and candidates, combinations participating in various electoral processes at a polling station will be allowed to have only one representative at the station at any one time. The representative of the combination may be replaced during the voting process, and between the procedures of sorting and counting of votes for each type of election, by another person who presents a duly completed authorization, but may not be replaced while the process for an election is in progress.
