MP Kyriakos Hatzigiannis, one of the Vice-Presidents of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE CSCE) and Special Representative of the Assembly for South-Eastern Europe, will travel to Belgrade tomorrow to participate in a CSCE mission. OSCE mission to Belgrade to observe the parliamentary elections in Serbia, which will be held on Sunday, 17 December 2023. The OSCE mission will include some eighty parliamentarians from OSCE participating States, who will be deployed to various cities in Serbia to verify the compliance of the electoral process with the criteria set out in the OSCE Copenhagen Document.
The participants in the mission will, inter alia, have separate meetings with representatives of the country's electoral authorities, political parties and the media.

They will also be briefed by the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) long-term election observation mission.
The main issues to be addressed by the CS mission will be. The OSCE mission will mainly focus on electoral legislation, the organisation of the electoral process, campaign financing and security issues.
On election day, Mr Hatzigiannis will visit polling stations outside Belgrade, in particular in areas where there are a large number of people belonging to minorities, to observe the electoral process on the spot.
