Ambassador Maria Michael handed over her credentials as the new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Nations (UN) to the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Mr.
During the presentation of her credentials, the Permanent Representative conveyed to the Secretary-General the warm greetings of the President of the Republic and reiterated his commitment to work together with the UN Secretary General for the resumption of negotiations for the resolution of the Cyprus problem and the reunification of Cyprus on the basis of the Security Council resolutions.
The UN Secretary General thanked the Permanent Representative for the exemplary cooperation between the United Nations and Cyprus, describing Cyprus as an important partner and assured that she would continue to make every effort to find a solution to the Cyprus problem on the basis of the UN Security Council resolutions and decisions.
