The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry announces the publication Decree, which regulates the deduction of the weight of packaging material when selling unpackaged products sold by the kilogram.
Specifically, according to the issued Decree of the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, when weighing and packaging any goods in the presence of the consumer, the weight of the packaging material (tare) is deducted so that the final billing price refers only to the net weight of the goods.
It is noted that the Decree does not apply to packaging material (tare) with a total weight of up to 4 grams, nor does it apply to pre-packaged goods.
The Ministry, considering the large number of consumer transactions involving such packaging, expects that this measure will result in significant savings for consumers.
