The Council of Ministers, at its meeting today under the President of the Republic Mr. Mr. George Papanastasiou, the following persons as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors of the Public Enterprise of Natural Gas (DEFA) for a period of 30 months:
Chairman Mr. Antonis Patsalis (Mechanical Engineer), Vice Chairman Mr. Kyriakos Kouppa (Chemical Engineer) and Members Mr. Kyriakos Kouppa (Chemical Engineer). Mr. Dimitrios Papapolyviou (Lawyer), Mr. Christos Kallis (Mechanical Engineer), Mr. Giorgos Asiikallis (Electrical and Electronic Engineer), Mr. Nikola Morfitis (Business Administration), Mr. Thomas Shepos (Mechanical Engineer), Ms. Anastasia Kalaika (Industrial Applications Officer A', representative of the Director General of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry) and Mr. Michael Iakovidis (National Betting Authority Officer, representative of the Director General of the Ministry of Finance).
The selection of the new members of the Board of Directors was made through the procedure of the Advisory Council, within the framework of its terms of reference, as determined by the Decision of the Council of Ministers dated 28/6/2023, and having particular regard to the provisions of the Law on Certain Legal Entities of Public Law (Appointment of Boards of Directors). 149/1988). The Advisory Board evaluated the statements of the interested parties and prepared a list of proposed candidates, which was sent to the competent Minister.
Today's final decision of the Council of Ministers was preceded by a notification to the House of Representatives by the Secretary of the Council of Ministers, in accordance with Article 3(2)(b) of the Certain Public Law Entities (Appointment of Boards of Directors) Acts 1988 to 2022.
