The Council of Ministers today approved a proposal of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth for the adoption of a Unified Improvement Plan for the self-evaluation of school units.
Based on this decision, the self-evaluation of the school unit is institutionalized for the first time in our educational system, which is summarized in the following points:
At the school unit level:
- Development of a Unified School Unit Improvement Plan (ESBSM) by all schools, based on a template, which will be finalized, based on the practice of recent years
- Development of a professional learning plan for teachers, as part of the ESBSM, based on the needs of the school
- Free access school unit self-evaluation tools for all.
At the teacher level:
- Monitoring by the teacher(s) of specific professional learning themes, over a three-year period
- Follow-up training with actions and themes that will cover the needs of the school unit, as well as personal needs, through the established training activities of the PI and the Directorates of Education, for all organic positions.
Regarding the procedures:
- The training will take place during working or non-working hours
- Teachers will be able to attend the trainings either in person or at a distance or a combination
- There will be systematic monitoring of the link between the training and daily teaching practice, through the electronic portal
- Monitoring of the development and implementation of the ESMS and the degree of achievement of the objectives set.
With the implementation of the Decision, the continuous improvement of the educational work carried out in school units is expected.
