Data Source and Coverage

Data are derived from the annual Cyprus Residents' Travel Survey, which covers all Cyprus residents aged 15 years and over. The sample is selected by stratified random sampling, using the five provinces and urban/rural areas as strata. A random sample of households is selected in each stratum.

Data is collected by telephone interviews using an electronic questionnaire.

The Survey is conducted in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 692/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on European statistics in the field of tourism.
