Cyprus stands in solidarity with the suffering people of Ukraine. In difficult times we must stand by those whose lives are currently under threat.
The President of the Republic Mr. Nicos Anastasiades instructed to open a bank account at the Central Bank of Cyprus, where the public can deposit their contributions to support the Ukrainian people.

A humanitarian aid collection campaign is also launched. The whole effort of collecting dry food and sending it to Ukraine is done in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in constant communication with the Government of Ukraine. This initiative is supported by Local Authorities and NGOs.
At the same time, the Government is making efforts to respond to a request from the Embassy of Ukraine in Cyprus to send specialized medical equipment.
The items are collected based on the actual needs on the ground. Collection of dry food: canned food (all kinds), cereals, nuts, biscuits/crackers, all-purpose flour, milk powder for children/children's food (not in liquid form).
The dry food collection process will start tomorrow, Friday, 25 February 2022.
