[PIO] Cyprus Ports Authority hosted the Minister of Ports, Waterways and Shipping of India

The Cyprus Ports Authority, under the Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Stylianou and Director General Mr. Anthimos Christodoulides and his management, hosted yesterday, at the Vasilikos/Zygios port area, His Excellency Mr. Shantanu Thakur, Minister of Ports, Waterways and Shipping of India, with a delegation from the Ministry and the Embassy of India in Cyprus. During Mr. Thakur's visit, the Directorate of the Ports Authority briefed him and his delegation on the Vasilikos/Zygi port area, its development prospects and planning and the investment and development opportunities that may be of interest to Indian companies and joint ventures. As highlighted, Cyprus' geographical location at the crossroads of three continents and opposite the Suez Canal, which is one of the most important shipping routes worldwide, is particularly important and lends itself to the activities of global companies, especially in the fields of shipping and port development.
