Mr. Michalis Damianos was born in Nicosia (Archangelos) with origins from Polystyphe and Larnaca.
He is a barrister, holds an LLB degree with honours from the University of Southampton (holder of the Best Academic Achievement Award from the same university), holds an LLM from the University of Cambridge, specialising in International Law (winner of the Best Academic Achievement Award from Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge) and holds the professional qualification of Solicitor of the High Court of England & Wales. He worked at the international law firms Simmons & Simmons and Hogan Lovells in London, specialising in corporate, commercial and energy matters.
On his return to Cyprus he worked at a law firm in Nicosia and in 2010 he established the law firm that bears his name.
He served as a Councillor in the Municipality of Strovolos (2011-2016).
He is Vice President of the Democratic Party since 2018.
He is married and has two children.
