The Department of Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture announces a series of gardenside concerts in the garden of the State Gallery - Majestic, curated by Panagiotis Minas of Pyrgatory Studios.
Four nights of music, from June to October 2024, will bring the sculptures and flora of the garden to life, with sounds and projections filling the space on these summer nights. Young, well-known and avant-garde musicians will enrich the evening with a variety of sounds, promoting collaboration and improvisation. Electronic sounds and live performances with guitars, flute and percussion will set the scene. After each concert, you will have the opportunity to get in touch with the permanent exhibition of the State Gallery and enjoy the garden with musical selections by the artists themselves.
The names of the artists and more details will be announced a few days before the concerts on the State Gallery and Pyrgatory Studios' Social Media (@majesticstategallery and @pyrgatory.studios).
The first concert starts on Friday, June 14 at 20:00, at sunset, with ISEL on modular synthesizers and special guest Eva Stavrou on flute. The concert will offer an audiovisual experience that will include an improvisational sound collaboration between the two artists, accompanied by video projections.
