[PIO] Completion of the Meeting of European Leaders with the President of Egypt and signing of the Joint Declaration

The expanded meeting between the leaders of the EU Member States and the President of the European Commission and the President of Egypt has just concluded.The meeting, which lasted more than an hour, was attended by the President of the Republic Mr.Nicos Christodoulides, the President of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the European Commission Mrs Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Ministers of Greece Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Italy Mrs Giorgia Meloni, Belgium Mr Alexander De Croo and the Chancellor of Austria Mr Alexander De Croo. This was followed by the signing of the Joint Declaration on the EU-Egypt Partnership and Comprehensive Relationship by Mrs Von der Leyen and President El-Sisi.

Bilateral Agreements between Greece and Egypt and Italy and Egypt were also signed by the leaders of these countries.
