Co-organized by the Naval Command of the National Guard (GN), the Armed Forces (AF) of Greece and the United States of America (USA), co-training in the planning and execution of special operations in naval objects, from 5 to 16 September 2022.

The co-training took place in part of the land and sea space of the Republic of Cyprus and involved Special Operations Groups (SEGs) of the three countries.

The scenario included firing from speedboats and various types of shots from both individual and group weapons, practicing the procedures for taking a ship at sea, attacking a coastal critical facility using boats and rubber dinghies, and training in fighting inhabited places.

A phase of the co-training was attended by the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, who noted the constructive cooperation between the trainees and congratulated the Special Operations Groups, as well as the crews of the speedboats for their efforts, noting the importance of cooperation between the three countries in the field of defense and security in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.

The co-trainings are part of the network of international partnerships that the National Guard has developed, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Defense, and are considered to be particularly beneficial, as they enable the personnel of the National Guard to co-train with corresponding Units of friendly countries, thus promoting the level of training and interoperability, while highlighting the excellent relations between the participating countries.
