The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MESY) is promoting a plan for schools to mechanically clean the air to improve air quality in classrooms.
In this context, in cooperation with the University of Cyprus, the Ministry is piloting the project, with the installation of about 100 air purification devices in a number of schools selected on a priority basis according to climatic conditions.
At the same time, the University of Cyprus will conduct an evaluation survey. If the evaluation yields positive results, the Ministry will proceed with the installation of mechanical air purification systems in all public schools.
