Following the announcement of the President of the Republic for the promotion and implementation of the package of measures "In every beginning, together", aimed at supporting students at the beginning of the new school year, as well as relieving the family budget, in the context of the measures to combat poverty, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MESY) clarifies that the measures apply to all pupils who fall within the categories of beneficiaries defined, irrespective of income or other economic criteria. Specifically. The grant will be paid to a bank account indicated by the parents/guardians, by filling in a relevant form at the beginning of the school year.
(b) The grant of €200 for the purchase of a tablet applies to all pupils who will attend the 3rd grade in public schools during the 2024-2025 school year.

(d) The grant of €150 will be provided by the Ministry of State for Social Welfare (MoSW) and applies to families who are entitled to a child allowance and have at least three children attending pre-primary (ages 4 6/12 and above), primary, secondary and technical education, including children attending private schools.
[E](e) The grant of €150 also applies to families whose at least three children attend public Pre-Primary (ages 4 6/12 and above), Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (including private schools) and are not eligible for any of the measures described above. This grant will be provided by the Ministry of Education and will be paid into a bank account indicated by the parents/guardians, upon completion of a relevant form at the beginning of the school year.
(f) The discount, from €200 to €30 per annum, on public passenger transport fares will be made under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and will apply to all students attending public schools.
