The Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance informs that, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation on the Regulation of the Operation of Shops and the Conditions of Employment of their Employees, all general stores will have to observe the Christmas opening hours (01.12.2021 - 31.12.2021).
According to the relevant legislation, general stores may remain open daily until 8:00 p.m, except on Christmas Eve (24.12.2021) and New Year's Eve (31.12.2021) when they may remain open until 6:00 p.m.
It should be noted that on 25 and 26 December 2021, as well as on 1, 2 and 6 January 2022, general stores must remain closed, since the above days are considered public holidays for general stores.
Finally, as regards the employees of the Special Shops, who will work on the above holidays, they should be compensated at a ratio of 1:2 for each hour worked.
