The Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts held on Tuesday 12 December 2023, at the Presidential Palace, its Ceremonial Session with great success.
The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Christodoulides, state and political officials and a large number of people.
In the framework of this Panhellenic Session, the Plenary Assembly of the Academy met with the President of the Republic and discussed issues related to the cooperation of academics with the state.
This was followed by the ceremony of awarding the House Awards to Professor Christos Hadjichristodoulou and the ceramist Mr. The Young Artist Award was presented to the dancer Mrs. Ioanna Avraam, while the Award of the Republic of Cyprus was awarded to Professor Kyriakos Athanasiou.
The event concluded with a musical programme by the "Mirabilis Saxophone Quartet".
In the speeches of the laureates, through their personal testimonies on their quest for excellence, the fundamental value of dedication to scientific research and artistic excellence within the framework of contribution to man and society was highlighted.
