The Press and Information Office (PIO) is interested in hiring the services of two (2) persons for the needs of the Service, in the Turkish Affairs Branch. The services of the selected candidates will commence in June 2024 for the first candidate in order and in January 2025 for the second candidate. The Contract will be for a period of one year and may be extended for an additional period not to exceed a total of twenty-four (24) months. The services will be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the attached Draft entitled "Service Lease Agreement", based in Nicosia and covering the following. [*]Selection of written or oral texts to be translated and/or summarized through a short conference (initially the conference will take place in person, later it may be held via videoconference). [*]Translation of the selected articles, news, speeches and other texts before 1:30 p.m. Cyprus time. The daily volume of translated texts will be one thousand three hundred words (1 300) with a tolerance of +/- 250 words. [*]Drafting of any notes and/or studies commissioned by the Office on matters relating to Turkey and/or the occupied territories. [*]Covering any events in Turkey and/or the Occupied Territories assigned to him by the Office and drafting an information note/information note to the competent authorities.
