The Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture issues an open invitation to Cypriot artists under the age of 35 to apply to participate in an artist residency programme.

The residency programme entitled "Beyond Boundaries" is a 21-day intensive residency programme, which will take place in Milan, Italy from 10 to 31 January 2024.

The programme is supported by the Municipality of Milan - Fabbrica del Vapore and realized by BJCEM (Biennale of Youth Europe and the Mediterranean) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Cyprus, the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro, Clube Portugues de Artes e Ideias, Fluks - Centre for Young Artists and UKNA - UK New Artists.

Up to six artists from selected countries, including Cyprus, may participate in this programme.

Fabbrica del Vapore is an important Milanese hub of creativity and innovation. The aim is for the residency to be an incubator of new ideas, enabling research, new artistic practices and peer-to-peer learning. Beyond Boundaries also aims to promote the artistic practices of those regions usually considered remote, marginal, small, insular or borderline.

Last date and time for applications:

12 December 2023, 11.30 pm (GMT+1)
