[PIO] Before the Court a case of circulation of a fake vaccination certificate and threats against the CEC

Following instructions from the Attorney General of the Republic, the Police proceeded to register before the Limassol District Court two cases related to vaccinations against Covid-19 disease.

One case relates to conspiracy to commit a felony, forgery, circulation of a forged document and attempt to secure registration by false representations. According to the charges, the defendant allegedly attempted to obtain a Safepass by using a false vaccination certificate.

The second case relates to a complaint about threats that the President and members of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Paediatric Society (CPS) received through social media posts regarding the vaccination of children over the age of 12 for Covid-19 disease. In addition to the threats, the defendants urged other persons to commit a criminal offence.
