[PIO] Approval of the Low Pensioners' Holiday Subsidy Scheme in Hotels of the Mountain resorts and the Tower of Tilliria by the Council of Ministers

The Council of Ministers approved on 29 May 2024 the proposal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance for the implementation of the "Low Pensioners' Holiday Subsidy Scheme at Hotels in the Mountain Resorts and the Tilliria Tower", under which full subsidies will be provided for full board accommodation for low-income pensioners for holidays in mountain resorts and the Tilliria Tower.

The Scheme will operate for the period from 04/06/2024 to 29/07/2024 and from 03/09/2024 to 28/10/2024 and will cover a four-day stay (three nights) with full board, from Friday to Monday or from Tuesday to Friday.

Beneficiaries of the Scheme are.500 for singles and, [*]pensioners with an annual income of up to €20,000 for families, as well as their dependants, as defined in the Low Income Pensioners' Assistance Plan.

There will be a strict first-come, first-served basis depending on the date of submission of the relevant Declaration of Participation. During the first two weeks of the application period, priority will be given to those beneficiaries who did not participate during the previous period (2023).

It should be noted that the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance has contracted with the travel agency Orthodoxou Travel for the implementation of the Scheme, based on the Law on the Regulation of Public Procurement Procedures and Related Matters, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.

The submission of applications for participation in the Project starts from Monday, 3 June 2024, and applications will be received until the relevant budget is exhausted.

  2. or at hotels@orthodoxou.com.cy

Participation Application Forms for the Scheme are posted on the website of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance and are also available at all Citizen Service Centres (KEP) and Citizen Centres (KEPO) of the Cyprus Post Offices.
