At the initiative of the Minister of Justice and Public Order Mr. Another case of a missing person/deceased of 1974, the Regular Special Constable 5087 Panagiotis Pavlou, had a positive outcome, with the approval for his appointment to the rank of Constable and subsequent promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
Panagiotis Pavlou was born on 1/11/1946.
Panagiotis Pavlou was born on 1/11/1946. He was recruited to the Police as Special Constable No. 5087 on 9/4/1973. He served at the Paleochori Police Station and was married and father of four children, who were minors in 1974.
On 20/7/1974, the day of the Turkish invasion, during the attack against Trachona, Pavlos' traces were lost, while his vehicle was found destroyed by the bombing of the Turkish air force
The remains of Panagiotis Pavlos were found in a mass grave in the area of Trachona, identified by DNA and buried on 26/12/2016.
The Police, the Ministry and the Government demonstrate in practice their respect and appreciation to all members of the force, who put themselves at the disposal of the homeland during those dark days of the Turkish invasion
The Minister of Justice and Public Order, as it is already known, has recently made an honorary appointment and promotion of another missing martyr of 1974.
