1. Works on the Paphos - Limassol and Limassol - Paphos motorway

The Paphos District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that tomorrow Wednesday 6/9/2023, from 08:00 to 15:00, on the Pafos - Limassol and Limassol - Pafos motorway (A6), core extraction works will be carried out for laboratory testing.

During the works, the fast and slow lanes will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the slow and fast lanes respectively.

2. Replacement of signalling equipment in Larnaca and Famagusta

The Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from tomorrow, Wednesday 6/9/2023 and for a period of approximately four months, will be carried out by a private company, Replacement works of obsolete signalling equipment in 33 light-controlled intersections and 12 Pelican-type pedestrian crossings in the greater Larnaca and Famagusta area with a new type of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) with LED lamps, Pedestrian Countdown system and touch-type pedestrian demand system.

Equipment replacement work at each location will be completed within one day, barring contingency. During the work, light-controlled intersections and pedestrian crossings will remain out of service unless it becomes necessary to install temporary traffic lights. The above intersections will be preceded by civil engineering work on the infrastructure.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to demonstrate the necessary understanding and compliance with the temporary traffic signals.
